Travis Mockler
SD Corn Growers Association
• District 1

Travis Mockler operates a diversified farming enterprise near Centerville, raising corn, soybeans, alfalfa and stock cows in addition to providing a custom haying service.
He rejoined the South Dakota Corn Growers Association board of directors in 2021 after previously serving from 2009 to 2018, including a term as secretary-treasurer.
Mockler grew up on a dairy farm east of Vermillion. Following a couple of years of post-secondary education at Iowa Lakes Community College and South Dakota State University, Mockler returned to his hometown area and worked as a hired man for local producers for 10 years. He eventually developed an independent farming operation.
“With a lot of luck and good neighbors, I am able to be farming today” said Mockler. “I love watching things grow and I couldn’t honestly imagine doing anything else.”
In addition to his role on the SDCGA board, Mockler is a Clay County commissioner and has been involved with the Pleasant Valley and Dalesburg Dike Association and the UCY Pork Producers.
Mockler and his wife, Jill, have two daughters: Lacey and Kylie. In his spare time, Mockler enjoys golfing and relaxing.
