Sioux Falls, S.D. (March 13, 2025) South Dakota Corn Growers Association and South Dakota Corn Utilization Council Announce 2025 Officers
The South Dakota Corn Growers Association (SDCGA) and the South Dakota Corn Utilization Council (SDCUC) announce the election of 2025 board officers. DaNita Murray, Executive Director for SD Corn stated, “The corn industry currently faces significant headwinds including a low commodity price, increased input costs and the potential for short-term pain from tariffs on corn and corn products. With these circumstances, we’re fortunate to have a strong roster of officers on both the grower and marketing boards.”
The South Dakota Corn Growers Association newly elected officers are—President, Taylor Sumption, Frederick, District 5; Vice President, Trent Kubik, Hamill, District 9; and Secretary/Treasurer, Mike Cronin, Gettysburg, District 6.
The South Dakota Corn Utilization Council elected officers are—President: Jim Ketelhut, Pukwana, District 9; Vice President, Jay Esser, Redfield, District 6; and Secretary/Treasurer, Chris Nickeson, Pierpont, District 4.
South Dakota corn producers formed the SDCGA membership organization in 1986 to serve as a collective voice on issues at the state and national levels. The South Dakota Corn Utilization Council’s mission is to promote corn marketing in this state, the US and around the globe. The SDCUC also funds research and educational efforts.
